Job summary

McGough Construction is seeking an MEP/CX Assistant Project Manager to provide technical support from concept through handover, coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related systems while maintaining schedule, budget, and safety objectives.

The role involves collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting business development initiatives as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of applicable experience in engineering design, facility management/operations, construction management, or related work.
• Basic understanding of design, installation, and operation of engineered systems for mission critical, educational, medical, lab, industrial, or similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in constructability reviews and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Review A/E documents for compliance with owner requirements, codes, constructability, and standards.
• Assist the A/E team and subcontractors in identifying VE and cost reduction items.
• Assist in identifying and procuring long-lead items.
• Assist in developing subcontractor scopes of work.
• Support preparation of bid packages and procurement strategies.
• Assist in developing project execution and commissioning strategies.
• Coordinate assigned MEP subcontractors throughout construction.
• Monitor installation quality and compliance with contract requirements.
• Support implementation of project safety and quality programs.
