Job summary

McGough is seeking an MEP/CX Project Engineer to support mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and specialty systems across all construction phases. You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure safe, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, or related engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in commercial construction or related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to become familiar with project scope and owner requirements.
• Coordinate with A/E and subcontractors to identify conflicts and optimization opportunities.
• Assist with bid packages, bid instructions, and subcontractor scope documents to avoid gaps.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and estimating activities as assigned.
• Monitor procurement status, equipment deliveries, and installation schedules.
• Promote safe work practices and support project safety initiatives.
• Coordinate with field supervision and equipment vendors to resolve routine construction issues.
