Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field is required.
• Recent experience and specialty in electrical and mechanical cost strategies.
• Cost control in the commercial/institutional/industrial sector concentrating on vertical construction.
• Experience with conceptual and detailed measurement / pricing.
• Professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction cost estimates, cost plans, and cost strategies.
• Review drawings to determine scope and quantities for pricing.
• Solicit pricing from sub-contractors across trades to complete bids.
• Quantify material quantities using estimating software.
• Review change orders, progress valuations, and bid analyses.
• Develop budgets from schematic through final construction documents and support GMP conclusions.
