Job summary

MPI, a century-old construction firm, seeks an MEP Coordinator to coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades on complex projects. You will lead MEP coordination meetings with subs, PMs, supers, and other stakeholders, and will manage clash detection and constructability issues throughout pre-construction and construction phases.

Qualifications

  • 3–10 years of MEP coordination, construction project management, or related experience.
  • Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems.
  • Background working on complex commercial, healthcare, higher education, life science, or institutional construction projects.
  • Experience with large ground-up construction or significant renovation projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience collaborating with large general contractors, joint ventures, or multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction coordination, clash detection, and constructability processes.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and/or P6 is valuable.
  • CAD and Revit experience is a plus.

  • Support multiple active projects across healthcare, higher education, institutional, life science, and commercial construction.
  • Utilize platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, P6, CAD, and Revit throughout the coordination and project delivery process.
  • Report to senior MEP/operations leadership while working directly alongside individual project teams.

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

A successful MEP Coordinator should have:

  • 3-10 years of MEP coordination, construction project management, or related experience.
  • Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems.
  • Background working on complex commercial, healthcare, higher education, life science, or institutional construction projects.
  • Experience with large ground-up construction or significant renovation projects is highly desirable.
  • Candidates from established mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or other MEP specialty contractors will be strongly considered.
  • Experience collaborating with large general contractors, joint ventures, or multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction coordination, clash detection, and constructability processes.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and/or P6 is valuable.
  • CAD and Revit experience is a plus.
