Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Mechanical and Building Systems Engineer to perform and review MEP and Fire Life Safety assessments as part of the Integrated Facility Solutions group.

The role includes site visits, data collection, and developing design solutions for commercial properties. Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS or MS in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5+ years of consulting or design experience and are proficient with building systems and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5+ years of commercial/industrial engineering consulting or design experience.
• Solid understanding of major MEP and Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Self-performs MEP assessments and prepares MEP assessment reports.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, observations of tenant spaces, roofs and major mechanical areas.
• Assess heating/cooling equipment, lighting systems, and major electrical systems.
• Evaluate plumbing systems, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• Review BAS/central HVAC control systems and system capabilities.
• Document deficiencies with photos and narrative descriptions; gather equipment data.
