Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc is seeking a Full-Time Mechanical and Building Systems Engineer in Houston. The role focuses on performing and reviewing MEP and Fire Life Safety system assessments as part of the Integrated Facility Solutions group.

You will conduct site visits, collect data, review documents, and prepare cost estimates while interfacing with clients. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5+ years of relevant consulting

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
5+ years of commercial/industrial engineering consulting or design experience with solid understanding of MEP and FLS systems.

Responsibilities

Self-performs MEP Assessments and prepares MEP Assessment Reports.
Conduct site visits and walkthroughs of tenant spaces, roofs, and major mechanical areas.
Assess heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems.
Document existing conditions with photographs and narrative descriptions.
Review construction documents, as-built drawings, and BAS/central HVAC control systems.
Prepare estimated costs to remedy building deficiencies.
Provide technical direction to Project Managers on MEP issues.
Communicate with clients to develop customized consulting solutions.
Travel up to 40% of the time.
Ensure compliance with laws and deliver outstanding customer service.
