Job summary

ESFM is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports facility engineering and maintenance functions, provides field leadership, and ensures quality assurance while managing escalations.

The position requires several years of experience in institutional maintenance and licensed specialized trades. Candidates will work within a team to maintain and improve building systems, while contributing to safety and reliability across facilities.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on repairs and reports major problems to supervisor.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems using tools and equipment.
• Cleans, services, repairs or diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
