Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance, while providing field leadership and ensuring quality. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical systems across building infrastructure and related equipment.

Two to three years of relevant experience are required, along with a master license or Journeyman credentials and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
Master license in one trade or Journeyman Electrical License or EPA Refrigerant certification or Journeyman Plumber License.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist in repairs and report major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
Construct, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities.
Inspect and service HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
Supervise and lead a group of workers on a project.
Read, comprehend and transmit complex instructions verbally and in writing.
Teach advanced maintenance skills to other department members.
Review vendor work and generate punch lists.
Report on and repair discrepancies as assigned.
Analyze and correct complex building system problems alone or with a team.
Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete work orders, tests and inspections.
Suggest modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems.
Serve on facility emergency response team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
