Job summary

ESFM, a Compass Group USA division, is seeking a Building Engineer - MEP in Florence, KY to maintain electrical and mechanical building systems in a commercial/industrial setting. Multiple shifts available (day, night, overnight) with details discussed at interview.

Requires skilled-trade experience and Journeyman qualifications. The role involves supervising maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe, efficient operations while supporting training and escalation management.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on repairs; reports major problems to maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities.
• Cleans, services, and diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other department members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; creates punch lists.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
