Job summary

ESFM, the corporate IFM division of Compass Group USA, has a full-time Building Engineer LC opening at 2505 Ted Bushelman Blvd, Florence, KY 41042. The role requires 4–5 years in building maintenance and specializes in electrical and mechanical systems, with supervision responsibilities and strong technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decisions on repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and facilities.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other department members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serves as a member of facility emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
