Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Maintenance Technician MEP for the Florence, KY location. This full-time role performs skilled maintenance duties related to facility engineering and maintenance, with leadership responsibilities and ensuring quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Makes decisions on repairs and reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
