Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our Richmond division, with work scoped to Louisa County and commuting to multiple project sites as required. You will guide on-site MEP activities, support safety standards, and ensure schedules and quality on high-profile commercial builds.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of supervisory experience, OSHA 30/CPR, and a proven ability to manage large crews, coordinate with engineering and estimating teams, and drive

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience supervising General Foreman/General Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.
• Ability to supervise large crews (10+).
• Experience supervising large teams and coordinating across disciplines.
• Knowledge of man-hour and job-cost reports, workforce planning and estimating.
• OSHA 30 and CPR certification.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, design guides, specs, and contracts.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to present to clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to report to multiple job sites as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supervises field foreman for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
• Oversee a specific trade on a larger project with the Superintendent or Sr. Superintendent.
• Performs a wide range of skilled construction tasks.
• Acts as liaison with engineering, estimating, and project teams to ensure drawings and schedules are met.
• Coordinates with Quality Control and Engineering on materials, inspections, and craft activities.
• Provides guidance and direction to crews in budgeting and scheduling.
• Resolves problems related to productivity and safety program compliance; documents corrective action.
• Coordinate safety on site.
• Review 2-week look-aheads and set up weekly foreman meetings.
• Ensure foremen have material ordered and staged for crews.
• Track project progress and performance against estimates.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and vendors.
• Utilize AXIOM to review Foreman's daily logs and notes.
• Ensure trades perform at or better than estimate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
