Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to students to recruit them for the program.
  • Assist in the development and execution of innovative activities and event concepts to elevate the mentoring relationships.
  • Assist in training students, mentors, and parents to ensure that expectations of program are understood.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely documentation in required formats to ensure GSS & DOE records are complete and reflect services provided to participants.
  • Provide family outreach and involvement as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement workshops responsive to student needs.
  • Assist with bi-weekly mentee group meetings to monitor mentor relationships.
  • Help generate creative ideas for recruitment materials, bulletin boards, program swag, etc.
  • Able to work collaboratively with DOE and GSS team members
  • May need to travel to off-site locations (as needed) for recruitment, events, and transfer of goods to participants
