Job summary

Avera Creighton Hospital is seeking a Nursing Clinical Intern to assist with patient care under a Registered Nurse mentor. You will review prescriptions, communicate the nursing care plan, and participate in planning and documentation.

You are currently enrolled in a CCNE or NLN accredited RN program and have completed all but the final semesters. This PRN role requires rotating shifts and adherence to CARE values.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in CCNE or NLN accredited RN program and have completed all but the final one or two semesters.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing plan to the health care team.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers and support patients, families, and friends emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
• Develop nursing care plans by reviewing medical histories and documenting patient status and needs.
• Instruct patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Adhere to infection-control policies, medications handling, and safety protocols.
• Chart patient care services accurately in records and maintain supplies.
