Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Worker to support direct patient care on Lippitt 2, an Adult Inpatient Intensive Treatment Unit. The role emphasizes patient advocacy and adherence to service standards in a safe, therapeutic setting.

The schedule is 36/72 Full Time Evenings—Every Other Weekend, with a preference for candidates holding a CNA license and a background in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients’ activities of daily living.
• Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.
• Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital service standards.
