Job summary

Care New England is seeking a part-time Mental Health Worker on the Delmonico 3C Unit. The role focuses on supporting nurses in direct patient care and daily living activities, while modeling high standards of service with a patient-first approach.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or comparable experience, possess excellent written and communication skills, and be eligible for a CNA license with the stated differential.

Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• C.N.A. Preferred: 2% Pay Differential Available to Applicants who maintain an Active CNA License.
• Schedule: 36/72 Part Time Evenings - Every Other Weekend
• Overcensus Float assigned D3C
• Delmonico 3C Unit info: This unit will focus on providing specialized treatment for our patients with unique and complex needs. In addition to patients with psychotic and mood disorders, patients treated on this unit will include those with severe behavioral disturbances and patients who are intellectually and developmentally disabled.
