Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support patient care on the unit. You will model professional standards and advocate for patients while assisting with daily living activities.

You will work alongside registered nurses, help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment through observation and interaction, and commit to ongoing professional development.

This part-time evening role requires strong written and verbal communication, with CNA preferred for additional differential pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferred.
• Experience with mentally ill or developmentally delayed clients.
• Excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• CNA license preferred (2% pay differential).

Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups

Duties & Responsibilities

Commits to self-development as it pertains to the role of mental health worker.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• C.N.A. Preferred: 2% Pay Differential Available to Applicants who maintain an Active CNA License.
• Schedule: 24/48 Part Time Evenings - Every Other Weekend
