Mental Health Worker

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming character, we give life back to those who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues.

Our mental health inpatient facility houses 6 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. This facility is adjacent to our 15-acre property, located in scenic Bangor.

Positions available:

• Per Diem: PM and NOCs

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment
• Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to behavioral issues and provides crisis intervention as needed
• Works with a multidisciplinary team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and recreational activities, as appropriate
• Charts patient observations following policies and procedures
• Participates in developing and implementing treatment programs
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records
• Transports patients to community appointments, labs, treatments, etc.
• Maintains policies, quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards
• Documents and utilizes Electronic Medical Records
• Attends mandatory meetings, group sessions, and training
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• One year experience working directly with patients with mental illness
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
