Mental Health Worker

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth. Our goal is to transform lives affected by substance abuse and mental health issues.

Our mental health inpatient facility accommodates 6 clients who receive personalized care from our staff. The facility is located in scenic Bangor, adjacent to our 15-acre campus.

Positions Available:

• Full-time:
  • Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday NOCs (11:00 pm - 7:30 am)
  • Friday-Monday AM (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Provide care that promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, behavioral issues, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Lead milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and recreational activities, as appropriate.
• Chart patient observations following policies and procedures.
• Participate in developing and implementing treatment programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Transport patients for appointments, labs, and treatments as needed.
• Follow policies, quality standards, safety, environmental, and infection control procedures.
• Document using Electronic Medical Records.
• Attend mandatory meetings, group sessions, and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience working directly with patients with mental illness.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
