Sheppard Pratt in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the General Adult Unit to provide compassionate, direct patient care under supervision. Shift is 36 hours per week, 11:00am–11:00pm with every other weekend required, in-person work on a 17-bed unit serving adults with psychiatric disorders.

You will participate in planning care, support safety and therapeutic environments, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Human Services related degree or direct care experience preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Sat & Sun).
• All new clinical staff will begin orientation immediately after first day of employment.

Description

The General Adult Unit is a 17-bed unit located on our Baltimore/Washington Campusthat serves adult patients ages 18 and older who suffer from one or more psychiatric disorders. We treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders on this unit, including, but not limited to, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, and psychosis.

The pay range for this position is $19.06 minimum to $28 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

• HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
