Job summary

Sheppard Pratt Careers in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the Co-Occurring Disorders unit. This PRN, part-time, in-person role offers shifts including 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, with every other weekend required. The unit provides crisis stabilization for psychiatric and substance abuse patients.

You will participate in planning patient care, deliver direct care under supervision, and help maintain a safe therapeutic environment in line with policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; Human Services degree strongly preferred.
• Past direct care or related experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.

Schedule: PRN, 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm (Every other weekend required) | Job Location Type: In Person

The Co-Occurring Unit on the Sheppard Pratt at Baltimore/Washington Campus, in Howard County, is a 17 bed unit providing crisis stabilization for patients with psychiatric conditions and substance abuse.

The pay range for this position is $19.36 minimum to $28.6958 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

• HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
