Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Adult unit in Towson, MD. This on-site, full-time role offers a rotating day shift from 7am to 7pm with a 36-hour week schedule and weekend rotations.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering psychiatric nursing care and treatment planning. The position requires an active Maryland RN license (or compact state) and preferred psychiatric nursing experience; orientation and ongoing education support are provided along with

Description

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7am to 7pm with rotating weekends. Type: In Person.

As a Registered Nurse/RN you will:

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

Requirements:

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.

All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience as a registered nurse.

What we need from you.

• Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment.
  • Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting is preferred, but not necessary.
