Job summary

BayCare, a major healthcare system in the Tampa Bay area, seeks a clinical support professional to provide direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include ongoing patient monitoring, promoting therapeutic relationships, and assisting with physical care as directed.

The role supports safety and well-being through communication and teamwork within BayCare’s behavioral health network at Northside Behavioral Health Center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; or an Associates degree in Healthcare or Psychology
• Preferred - Bachelor’s in Psychology or Healthcare
• Preferred - CNA/Patient Care Technician experience (optional)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under RN supervision

Summary: Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to Ensure safety and well-being. Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients. Assists with physical care under the direction of a RN.

Other information: Requires use of tight-fitting respirator (TB-Asbestos-Etc). Essential 40% of the time.
