Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly is seeking a part-time Patient Safety Attendant for the Nursing unit to observe and assist with patient care, providing therapeutic interactions and patient safety monitoring.

The role supports the nurse, participates in activities, and follows CPI safety techniques. A High School Diploma or GED is required; CPI within 90 days and BLS are mandatory. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Observes, reports, and documents signs and changes in patient behavior to charge nurse.
• Interacts with patients therapeutically.
• Assists in social and recreational activities and patient teaching groups.
• Uses CPI techniques appropriately.
• Makes rounds on assigned patients at least every half hour.
• Responds to patients with empathy, maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Participates in unit-based process improvement activities.
• Participates in unit-based committees.
• May include on-call duties as requested by administration.
• All mandatory training as per facility policy.
