Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting is required.
• Strong understanding of crisis management and behavior intervention strategies.
• Experience with medical documentation and following established medication protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
• Assist in developing and carrying out individualized treatment plans.
• Observe and document patient behaviors, interactions, and progress.
• Administer medications as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Use behavior management techniques to promote a safe, therapeutic environment.
