Job summary

Spring Mountain Treatment Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a full-time Mental Health Tech to support patients and the care team in a 110-bed inpatient setting. The role focuses on safety, observation, and daily living assistance, under supervision of nursing and clinical staff.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic life support certification, and a willingness to work with adults, teens, and children in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a psychiatric setting/patient care preferred.
• Good communication skills, i.e., reading, writing, and speaking.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time.
• Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision every 15 minutes or as required.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and report observations to nursing staff.
• Provide urgent patient safety support and excellent customer service.
• Document timely and accurate clinical information in patient records.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, structured milieu environment.
• Lead or assist patient educational groups on topics like social skills and coping.
