Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Clinical Support professional to perform patient care and clerical tasks to maintain a therapeutic milieu. The role communicates across care teams, supports safety, and adapts as unit priorities change.

The position serves child and adolescent patients, with potential adult/geriatric coverage in the PRN pool. Responsibilities include basic clinical tasks, documentation, and assisting with meals, hygiene, and activities while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates Degree or two years of college is preferred.
• Two years hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains initial patient information and documents vitals.
• Assists with unit orientation and patient rights introduction.
• Performs patient belongings search within policy.
• Collects lab specimens and prepares them for transport.
• Participates in milieu structuring and group activities.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to Charge Nurse.
• Maintains patient hygiene and nutrition needs.
• Transports patients and lab specimens as scheduled.
• Assists with crisis intervention training and de-escalation when needed.
