Job summary

Texas NeuroRehab Center is seeking a Mental Health Tech to support patients across ages with medical and behavioral needs. You will assist with therapy carryover, daily living activities, and supervise patients in ADLs and activities, while documenting progress daily.

The role involves hands-on care, crisis intervention, behavior management, and collaboration with therapists and teachers to deliver therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Direct care and management of patients across ages with medical/behavioral issues.
• Assist in unit programming to facilitate therapy carryover, daily living activities, and structured activities.
• Supervise patients in ADLs, appointments, and recreational activities on/off the unit.
• Document patient behaviors, condition, and progress daily using prescribed format.
• Provide hands-on care, crisis intervention, and behavior management per treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists and teachers with therapeutic/educational activities.
• Support activities of daily living and patient engagement.
• Monitor and document patient progress and safety.
• Assist in crisis situations following protocol.
• Contribute to a positive, therapeutic environment.
