Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care to adolescent, adult mood disorder and geriatric populations. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and work with a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes supervising patients, assisting with activities of daily living, participating in group activities, documenting observations, and supporting treatment programs while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No Travel Required
• No experience required or Years of Experience information present in posting.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Attends to activities of daily living and assists with behavioral issues; supports crisis intervention as needed.
• Works with a multi-disciplinary team on milieu activities and patient groups.
• Charts patient observations, conducts rounds, and maintains patient confidentiality.
