Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System seeks a Community Counselor/Mental Health Tech to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a 365-bed psychiatric hospital serving children to seniors in the Memphis area.

You'll help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu, respond to crises, and support patients and families with education and activities of daily living. Competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred; or high school diploma with 1 year direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, and crisis management with aggressive behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu.
• Deliver crisis intervention and individual/family education.
• Assist with activities of daily living for mental health patients.
