Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis, TN seeks a Community Counselor/Mental Health Tech to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a safe, therapeutic milieu. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, patient education, and activities of daily living support for mental health patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred; or high school diploma required.
• One year work experience providing direct patient care with knowledge of direct patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred.

Job Description

The Community Counselor/Mental Health Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
