Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support the treatment team and provide continuous patient care from adolescents through geriatrics. You will work under a Registered Nurse and assist with supervision, interaction and role modelling in a clinical setting.

Required education includes a high school degree or equivalent; CNA is preferred. Must hold a valid driver's license, and complete mandatory trainings plus clinical practicum

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
• Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Handle with Care, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required.
• MHTs must complete 75 hours of classroom/computer based instruction and 100 hours of supervised clinical practicum.
• May be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
