Job summary

Regions Hospital is hiring Mental Health Technicians to support a collaborative care team at our east metro facility.

As an MHT, you will perform ADLs, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, respond to call lights, and help with crisis management and milieu care alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists.

This 0.6 FTE day-shift role offers 24 hours per week, every other weekend, with benefits and opportunities to grow within HealthPartners.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Completion of a post-secondary education program in behavioral sciences OR completion of one year of post-secondary education in behavioral sciences or health care field OR 1 year supervised experience with mental illness OR 1 year of similar health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) on a daily basis.
• Provides patient care treatments including restraint monitoring, and collects patient data including vital signs, weights, intake & output.
• Collects routine patient specimens such as urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose as directed.
• Respond to call lights and requests and assist nurses with procedures as requested.
• Documents and charts care provided in the electronic health record.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
