Job summary

HealthPartners’ Regions Hospital in Minnesota seeks a Mental Health Technician for the Emergency Department. You will join a collaborative care team to provide patient care for adults with mental illness, using de-escalation, group dynamics, and milieu management.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in behavioral sciences OR one year of post-secondary education in behavioral sciences OR at least 1 year of supervised experience with mental illness services OR 1 year of related health care experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a care team to provide patient care in mental health settings.
• Utilize de-escalation skills and group dynamics to support patients and families.
• Assist with crisis management, therapeutic programming, and milieu management as part of the Mental Health Care team.
