Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech to provide compassionate care on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in St. Augustine, FL. You will support patients, maintain safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under RN supervision.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year of direct mental health care experience, and BLS and WELLE certifications within specified timelines. This role is based in St. Augustine, Florida.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education/Training

Required: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Experience

Required: 0 – 1 year Mental Health Unit/Direct Patient Care

Preferred: Experience working with patients in a mental health care setting.

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of employment.
• WELLE Certification. WELLE training (Non-Abusive Psychological & Physical Intervention) within 90-days of employment; annual re-certification will be required thereafter.
