Job summary

UF Health in Saint Augustine, FL seeks a Mental Health Tech to care for patients on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. Under RN supervision, you will support safety, lead milieu groups, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role involves monitoring patient mood and physical changes, reporting to the nurse, and providing collaborative, compassionate care across shifts, including 7:00pm–7:00am with some weekends.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: 0–1 year in Mental Health Unit/Direct Patient Care
• Preferred: Experience with mental health patients
• Certificates/Licenses: BLS required within 30 days of employment
• WELLE: Completion within 90 days; annual recertification

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support, supervision and safety for patients on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team under RN supervision
• Lead milieu groups and activities
• Monitor mood, affect and physical changes; report to nurse

Education
