Job summary

UF Health in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our inpatient behavioral health unit.

You will provide care, support, supervision and safety for patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team under the direct supervision of an RN. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0-1 year of direct patient care in a mental health setting, and completion of BLS within 30 days and WELLE certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year mental health unit/direct patient care experience required.
• BLS certification within 30 days and WELLE training within 90 days; AHCA Level 2 screening is required.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Required: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Experience

Required: 0 - 1 year Mental Health Unit/Direct Patient Care

Preferred: Experience working with patients in a mental health care setting.

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

Required:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of employment.
• WELLE Certification. WELLE training (Non-Abusive Psychological & Physical Intervention) within 90-days of employment; annual re-certification will be required thereafter.
