Job summary

UF Health is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Tech to join the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in St. Augustine, FL.

The position supports patient care, safety and supervision under an RN, with a flexible schedule including nights and a 0.90 FTE load. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year of mental health/unit care experience, and timely completion of BLS within 30 days plus WELLE certification within 90 days with annual refreshers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in mental health care is preferred but not required (0–1 year).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment; WELLE certification within 90 days and annual re-certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support, supervision and safety for patients on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and work under supervision of an RN to ensure quality patient care.
