Dungarvin in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Mental Health Specialist (MHS I) to provide direct, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or mental health needs. This full-time role starts at $20.00/hr with weekend/holiday shifts, plus benefits, 401(k), PTO, training, mileage reimbursement and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience providing mental or behavioral health services.
• Must be 18+; valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with person-centered approaches focused on safety and engagement.
• Follow behavior support and treatment plans, crisis prevention, and de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with daily living activities.
• Document services and observations using electronic systems.
• Monitor behavioral changes and communicate with supervisors during crises.
• Assist with appointments, medications as allowed, and follow medical plans.
