Job summary

AIDS Care Group is seeking a Mental Health Department Coordinator to provide administrative support, compassionate patient care, and ensure departmental compliance. You will be the first point of contact for patients in the Mental Health program and help maintain smooth operations in a 35-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior medical or psychology office experience preferred.
• Proficiency with an Electronic Health Record system (eClinicalWorks).
• Strong Excel, Teams and Google Suite skills are essential.
• Spanish language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients at check-in and guide them through checkout and follow-up scheduling.
• Follow department workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with medical, dental, HR and facilities teams to support department needs.
• Assist with chart audits and track compliance elements like treatment plans and consents.
• Run monthly reports in the EHR as needed.
• Organize donations and ensure accessibility for patients.
• Schedule Uber Health rides per therapists’ requests.
• Manage patient flow, order supplies, and maintain waiting room cleanliness.
• Participate in special department projects as needed.
• Order weekly staff/patient lunch and maintain acupuncture schedule.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
