Job summary

Zumbro Valley Health Center seeks a full-time Mental Health Practitioner for daytime hours to support clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders. You will work with a team to provide mental health services, monitor medication, and help clients build independent living skills.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining documentation, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• 1 year (2000 hours) experience working with adults with a severe mental illness and/or chemical dependency.
• Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of MN.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assess the strengths, and needs of clients upon admission.
• Assist the clients with independent living skills including shopping, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
• Monitor and document physical and emotional status.
• Monitors medication compliance and report any side effects.
• Facilitate residential program activities, classes and groups
• Accurately complete treatment plans, shift notes, admission and discharge paperwork, and financial forms.
• Responds appropriately to all crises and utilize verbal and non-verbal techniques with clients.

You will work alongside a team of professionals to provide services in the areas of mental health, co-occurring disorders, monitoring medication compliance, and independent living skills.

Pay: $25.11 - $30.13 per hour. Compensation is based on years of experience.
