Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. The role focuses on dispensing prescriptions under supervision, handling clerical tasks, and maintaining inventory while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Hours are M–F, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch. Location: Chapel Hill, NC. Competitive benefits and locally based pay apply.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician role requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Strong communication with patients, clinic staff, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and prepare them for pharmacist verification.
• Order, receive and store pharmacy supplies; process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist pharmacist with daily pharmacy functions and regulatory compliance.
• Perform clerical duties and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
