Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an Nursing Adjunct Faculty to deliver didactic and clinical instruction, guiding students toward course objectives while upholding the college's values of passion, excellence, adaptability, integrity, and accountability. The role requires a graduate degree (or a nursing BSN with a related graduate degree) and an RN license.

Prior teaching experience is preferred, with a focus on curriculum design, evaluation, and student success in a collaborative academic

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; if not in nursing, must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program is preferred.
• Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in nursing specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, teaches, and evaluates classroom and clinical learning experiences in conjunction with other team members.
• Connects students to College resources for their success.
• Participates in academic advisement and counseling as necessary.
• Coaches students on essential soft skills: leadership, ethics, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, dependability.
