Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of approved Medical Assistant Program, EMT, or Paramedic required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current clinical competence through training and continuing education credits.
• Accepts and documents verbal/written orders from Ravenwood Providers.
• Answer primary care telephone line, triage and coordinate with providers for refills and authorizations.
• Adheres to HIPAA and agency policy.
• Maintain professionalism and respect in patient and staff interactions.
• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals; perform phlebotomy as needed; administer medications as directed.
