Job summary

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
• Education: High School Diploma; some college preferred.
• Experience: Computer skills and experience in a psychiatric setting required.
• Licensure/Certification: None required.
• Knowledge: Computer literacy skills required; Illinois Mental Health and Disabilities Code, Confidentiality Act and EMTALA.
• Organizational, filing and typing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls and facilitates resources.
• Knowledge of all hospitals in the state and surrounding states.
• Conducts insurance benefit verifications.
• Maintains and organizes files, data and records pertaining to intake/admission.
• Provides computer entry for all inquiry calls.
