Job summary

CUCS Career Network seeks an Employment Specialist to deliver direct recipient and group services within its supported employment program. You will provide outreach, assessment, job coaching, entitlements counseling, and resource development to help participants reach employment goals.

The role emphasizes community engagement, collaboration with a social work team, and developing opportunities for individuals with complex needs in NYC.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required
• 2 years experience in social services, vocational counseling, career counseling, human resources, or relevant work
• Experience in workforce development, job placement, or employability training
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnosis

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, assessment, and direct recipient services within CUCS Career Network
• Deliver job coaching, entitlements counseling, and resource development to participants
• Work in the community to create job opportunities and support program participants’ employment goals
• Support additional program tasks and collaborate with team members
