Job summary

Tri-County Mental Health, DBA Beacon Mental Health, is seeking an Employment Specialist to deliver community-based employment services for individuals with serious mental illness. You will refine interview skills, craft resumes, and establish employer relationships to support job development and placement, while integrating progress notes and treatment plans.

You will conduct IPS-based planning, coordinate with Vocational Rehabilitation, and help consumers navigate transportation and workplace

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of recruitment and local job market.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with interview skills, resumes, and job applications.
• Complete IPS Vocational Profile and treatment plans; conduct job development and placement.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of agency technology programs (Avatar, Time on Demand, Image Now).
• Provide on-site job analysis and recommendations for worksite modifications.
• Instruct consumers in job duties and expectations; offer retraining and coaching as needed.
• Advocate for consumers with employers and locate new job leads.
• Coordinate transportation for clients to job sites and meetings.
• Attend Employment Services and Treatment Team meetings; inform CS Worker of progress.
• Ensure timely VR paperwork to meet monthly budget goals.
