Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Rosedale, MD is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to provide direct care within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting clients during day programs and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and recovery.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. The position requires SERVSAFE certification, CACFP knowledge, and a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Current SERVSAFE certification upon hire or within 60 days.
• Requires knowledge of CACFP program and related regulations.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to support independent living and socialization.
• Ensure medication compliance with safety, dosage, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with a service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to medical appointments; advocate and document follow-up.
• Maintain sanitation and comply with health regulations; complete CACFP documentation accurately.
• Assist in daily food operations and catering; coordinate meal preparation and delivery.
• Monitor portion control and inventory; assist with food purchases and general stock management.
• Foster rapport with clients as part of their support network.
• Receive thorough training and mentorship from senior staff.

Education
