Job summary

Sheppard Pratt Careers is seeking a Direct Care Support Staff for an in-person, full-time role in Hagerstown, MD. You will support mental health treatment in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program services, helping clients access group activities and daily living supports.

You will provide a safe, therapeutic environment, work within a collaborative team to implement service plans, and assist with transportation and meal preparation as part of a day program focused on recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have a valid SERVSAFE certification upon hire or within 60 days.
• Driver's license with 3 points or less and access to insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.
• Work with clients in group settings to learn or regain skills for community living.
• Ensure medication compliance and safety for clients.
• Collaborate with service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and accompany clients.
• Assist with meal prep and distribution for breakfast and lunch.
