Health Care and Rehabilitation Services in Brattleboro, VT is hiring a Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide risk assessment, brief supportive counseling, and referrals during mental health crises. This full-time position offers a salary of $59,752.50 to $64,704 per year, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, four weeks of paid time off (pro-rated), twelve sick days and nine holidays, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with people of all ages in mental health/substance use context.
• Ability to complete mental status exam and suicide assessment and refer to services.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk assessment during crisis situations.
• Offer brief supportive counseling to individuals and families in crisis.
• Refer to resources and supports as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external providers to coordinate care.
